What are Hot Tickets?

Hot Tickets are discount tickets of at least 25% off performances at New Jersey’s professional theatres and other professional presenting houses around the Garden State. The tickets are available 48 hours in advance of the show, or one week if you sign up to become a VIP member. You’ll find these tickets by clicking on “Hot Tickets” at the top of any page on our site. The selection of shows changes daily, so check back often. Hot Tickets are searchable by theatre, county, and discipline (i.e. theatre, music, dance, etc.).

Why can’t I exchange my tickets?

How do I know where I am sitting?

You can select your location (i.e. orchestra, balcony) when you purchase your Hot Tickets. The box office staff of the venue will receive your order and provide you with the best available seats in that section. If you want to know your exact seating location, you must purchase full price tickets to your performances at the theatre’s box office, or by contacting the box office by phone directly.

How do I pick up my tickets when I buy through njArtsTix.org?

When you buy your tickets through njArtsTix.org, your discount theatre tickets will be held at the “Will Call” line at the venue box office before the show. The “Will call” window usually opens one hour before curtain. Make sure to take your confirmation number and the credit card you used to make your purchase and be prepared to present them to the box office to receive your tickets. Your confirmation email will serve as your receipt, and as your proof of purchase.

Will Hot Tickets be available for such-and-such show?

The simple answer is: we don’t know. All of the ticket inventory on njArtsTix.org is managed by the participating venues. The only way you can be guaranteed to get tickets to a particular show is to call the box office of the producing venue directly and buy full-price tickets.
